Scholarship Programs

Financing a college education is never easy. Tuitions continue to rise, and so does the cost of room and board - not to mention all the day-to-day expenses like books, supplies, food and gas. All of these keep stacking up, increasing what it takes to make college attendance possible.

That's why for over 20 years, Farm Credit Services has awarded scholarships to students studying agriculture, finance or an agriculture-related field of study.  In 2008, we will award almost $100,000 in scholarships.  Our programs include:

  1. Farm Credit Scholarship Self Funded Program: 18 scholarships for $2,000 each awarded to customer-members of Farm Credit, or dependants of customer-members. Click here for more information and deadlines.
  2. University Scholarship Program: Scholarships are provided to ag-related universities throughout our four state territory of Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Tennessee.  Applications can be obtained through the ag department or the campus career center at the universities listed on this website - Click here for more information.

Tennessee FFA Scholars

Another way that Farm Credit is supporting the FFA is though a new scholarship program introduced in 2007. Scholarships are awarded to FFA members in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee based on student activities in their community, school and FFA as well as academic merit and essay.  This year, four students in Tennessee received $500 scholarships and were recognized during their April 1, 2008 convention.
