FFA Degree recipients backed by FCS
Louisville, Kentucky – June 22, 2009 – This year’s Indiana FFA convention – held June 15-17 - welcomed members of the FFA from across the Hoosier State who attended a series of business sessions, presented proficiency programs, listened to motivational speakers and joined in traditional FFA fellowship. During the convention, over 325 members were awarded the prestigious FFA Hoosier Degree provided to students who demonstrate extra-curricular achievements and success in their experiment programs.
Joining them for the recognition program were representatives from Farm Credit Services of Mid-America (FCS), a first time sponsor of the FFA State Degree program. “We’re thrilled to be expanding our involvement with the Indiana FFA,” said Summer Goldman, regional vice president with FCS in southwest Indiana. “We can think of no better way to support youth and rural America than through partnering with the FFA in the Degree Program, as well as scholarship and foundation sponsorships.”
