Matt Walther - Centerville, Indiana
Born and raised on a farm in central Indiana, Matt Walther graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Ag Econ from Purdue University. After graduation, Matt began his own farming operation by renting land, buying land, and raising beef cattle. While accumulating enough land to support a full time operation, Matt went to work as a commercial credit analyst for a local bank. Four years later, he was able to focus fully on farming his own operation in Centerville. Today, he, along with his wife Michelle farm almost 1,700 acres of row crops with a 50-head herd of commercial beef cattle.
The Walthers have two children: Bennett and Garrett. The family attends Centerville Christian Church where Matt is a deacon and youth coach for high schoolers.
He is a former member of the Muncie FCS Advisory Committee and served as a board member for the Wayne County Extension. He is current serving as secretary on the FCS board.
