Board of Directors
Farm Credit Services of Mid-America is a cooperative and is owned by its member-customer stockholders who purchase voting stock giving them the right to participate in director elections and vote on issues influencing the operations of the association. The cooperative is governed by an 18-person board. Sixteen of the members are elected by customers and two are appointed by the board. Board terms are generally four years. The board generally meets monthly to set policy and give overall direction to the organization's leadership. Elections for one position in each state, as well as any vacated positions are held each fall.

Bob Barton - Lexington, Kentucky - Board Chair
In partnership with his brother, Jim, Barton owns a 1,200 acre tobacco, corn, wheat and soybean operation in Kentucky's Fayette and Scott Counties. Together, they background cattle and own a country grain elevator.
Roger Earley - Hillsboro, Ohio - Vice Chair
Earley operates a 1,800 acre corn, soybeans, wheat, oats, and hay operation in Hillsboro, Ohio. Under the name Earley Farms, he also has a 150+ cow herd and sells brood stock.
Matt Walther - Centerville, Indiana - Secretary
Walther farms almost 1,700 acres of row crops with a 50-head herd of commercial beef cattle.
Board Members
David Bates - Shepherdsville, Kentucky
Bates owns a dairy operation and raises replacement heifers, corn, alfalfa, hay, wheat and oats on 300 acres in Bullitt County, Kentucky.
Ernie Diggs - Paris, Tennessee
Diggs owns 1,200 acres and rents an additional 1,300 acres where he farms row crops and has 30 beef cows.
Dan Flanagan - Campbellsville, Kentucky
Flanagan is a full time farmer who owns a 400 acre farm and also leases 100 acres. He raises soybeans, corn and wheat. He also manages six broiler houses and raises both wholesale and retail produce.
Bert Holsapple - Orleans, Indiana
Holsapple owns 750 acres and leases an additional 1,700 acres in partnership with his two sons. They raise corn, soybeans, wheat and hay and have an Angus Beef operation.
Glen Hutchinson - Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Hutchinson has owned and operated Hutchinson Farms for 25 years. He farms about 3,000 acres and raises row crops with an emphasis in corn, cotton, soybeans and wheat. He also has a small cow/calf operation.
Jimmy Mays - Scottsville, Kentucky
Mays owns 194 acres where he raises registered angus cattle.
Bill Patterson - Chesterland, Ohio
Patterson owns 116 acres and operates a fruit farm market with his family in northeastern Ohio.
Daryl Rowe - Limestone, Tennessee
Rowe raises Holstein heifers and alfalfa hay.
George Stebbins - Englewood, Ohio
Stebbins farms 1,590 acres of corn, soybeans and wheat with his brother, Tim. They also buy and finish out 3,200 sew pigs annually.
Art Timberlake - Mauckport, Indiana
Timberlake owns 206 acres and leases an additional 10 acres where he raises Registered Polled Hereford cattle, 30 brood cows, corn, soybeans and hay under the name of Pilot Wheel Ranch in Mauckport, Indiana.
Andrew Wilson - Somerset, Ohio
Operating a 750-acre corn, soybean, wheat and hay operation, Wilson is a contract grower for Heimerl Farms Ltd where he runs a wean-tobreeding and a wean-to-finish gilt operation.
Ed Yanos - Cambridge City, Indiana
Yanos raises corn and soybeans on 1,450 acres with his brother.
Outside Directors
Barney Barnett - Shelbyville, Kentucky
Barnett has been serving as the association's outside director since June, 1998. He is a retired banking professional and previously owned and operated a management recruiting business.
David Hahn - Columbus, Ohio
Hahn is a professor for The Ohio State University. He owns and manages a 650 acre grain farm in Huron County.
