Eligibility - Home Financing

Country home financing is available to full-time farmers, part-time farmers and rural residents. You don't have to have farm income or farm assets to participate.

If the property or home site you desire is located in a rural area, you are eligible for financing. If you have no farm income, the property must be in open country, or within a city or town of 2,500 or less within Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky or Tennessee. The home and attached garage must be at least 50 percent of the total appraised value and is subject to the current moderately priced dwelling guidelines.  Please contact your local office for the moderately priced dwelling guidelines for the area in which you are purchasing your home.

Home financing programs are available to farmers, regardless of where the home is located.  This includes personal residences, vacation and rental homes.
